Better Life FC u-16 nailed Crossroads All Stars FC 1-0 during a league game played at Vuyiseka Sports Complex on Sunday 12 May.

The teams went to half time goalless. Better Life had an upper hand from the first whistle, but failed to convert their chances.

In the second half, Better Life came back with the same attitude and managed to break down Crossroads defence before finding the back of the net.

Better Life coach Yamkela Nakeli said a lot needs to be done in the team. He said he needs to sharpen up his front line strikers.

“We dominated the game in almost all the departments,” he said. “We created many chances in both stanzas. We could have buried the game in the first half, but we missed a lot of chances. Our strikers need to be well composed in front of the goals.”

However, he said his team is getting the momentum as they were playing their second game in the league.

He vowed to build a formidable team as the league progresses.

“Our goalkeeping department, back line and midfielder are sold. We need to fix our front line. Our strikers wasted a lot of chances. We can’t win the league if we are not composed in front of the goals.”

Nakeli urged supporters to be patient and not to lose hope.

Both teams are playing under Hanover Park LFA, which is based at the Vuyiseka Sport Centre.
