A New Crossroads u-19 football club will take part in the prestigious Bayhill Premier Cup to be held at Erika Park in Belhar during the Easter weekend.

Hustlaz FC is expected to participate in this tournament for the first time since it was established in 2015.

The tournament will kick off on Wednesday 13 April and the final will be played on Easter Monday 18 April.

Hustlaz coach Lizo Vutho said his boys are well prepared for the tournament and are expecting to leave everything on the pitch. The ecstatic coach urged their supporters to come in large numbers to witness the “miracles”.

“We were supposed to play in the tournament in 2020 but because of the Covid-19 they had cancelled it. Now that some regulations are lifted we play,” he said.

Vuthu said their aim is to pass group stages then the rest will follow.

“We know it is going to be tough for us, especially as we are newcomers in the tournament. But I believe once we pass the group stages we will relax a bit,” he said.

Vuthu described the tournament as a platform for young players to showcase their talent.

Like any club from the township Hustlaz FC doesn’t have proper facilities for training as they are training on open fields.

However, the coach said they won’t allow their background to determine their future.

Vuthu stated that they know the burden that is on their shoulders as they are representing all the townships

Out of 32 teams that will participate in the tournament Hustlaz FC is in Group C together with Cape Town Spurs, Panorama FC and Jordan Callies FC.
