Police are investigating a double murder case after two men were shot and killed in Crossroads earlier today (Tuesday, 10 October).
Provincial police spokesperson Capt FC van Wyk said the circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear. He said two men aged 29 and 31 were shot and killed at about 14:15 at Unathi.
Van Wyk said, according to reports, Nyanga officers responded to a shooting incident and upon their arrival, they found a body lying in the street covered with the blanket with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Upon further investigation, members discovered another body inside a yard on Hani Crescent with gunshot wounds to the upper body, added Van Wyk.

“Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel,” he added.
Ward 36 councillor Nceba Ntshweza described the incident as shocking. “We are still shocked by the shooting. There were five men standing at the corner of Hani Crescent and Situlo Street when a white Avanza approached them and opened fire. Three of them managed to escape while the two were fatally wounded,” said Ntshweza.
