As we start the month of love, I appeal to everyone to do the right thing; love your partner and the people around you.
This is a month that is dedicated to lovers and love is hard to find these days. To those who don’t have partners, you mustn’t give up. You must keep on searching.
For me, this month is so special. This is the month I met my dear wife. We met exactly on Valentine’s Day (14 February) in one of the retail stores in 2013. It’s almost 11 years now and we’ve been married for five years. We have had our ups and downs, but we are still together. We have been gifted with two children, Mivuyo (7) and Siviwe (4) and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. My family completes me. They are the reason I wake up every morning and come to work.
When I prayed for a wife, I asked God to give me someone who would understand and accept me the way I am.
Don’t get me wrong, my wife is keeping me on my toes. She doesn’t talk a lot, but she wants everything to be in order. And I’m the kind of husband who always makes noise and dances in the house.
I always have crazy ideas. There’s never been a dull moment in our house.
If it is not me, my children take over the baton.
To me, this month is not like any other month. It reminds me of the day I met her – which changed my life.
