It has been 24 years since Nkululeko Eric Nqundwana was last seen by his family.

Nkululeko also known as “Bhutityi or Freedom”, who turned 57 this year, was last seen in Westbank near Delft in 1998.

His younger brother Thulani, who stays at TR Section in Site B, says he tried everything to locate his brother without success. He says they also do not have any images of him.

“As a family we are deeply disturbed by the disappearance of my brother. My mother, and a neighbour of mine accompanied my brother to Westbank where he relocated to but have never seen him since,” says Thulani.

According to him, the pair used to stay together in Kuils River. However, due to Nkululeko’s behaviour the pair did not see eye to eye. As a result the family opted to find him a place in Wesbank.

“I was shocked when I came back from a night shift to discover he had left with his belongings. When I asked a neighbour he told me where they had gone to find a place to stay,” said Thulani.

Thulani said years later, accompanied by his mother and a family member they tried to locate Nqundwana without success.

“All we want is to know whether he is still alive or not. If I were to find him, I will definitely take him home because we are all worried about him,” he said.
